Councilwoman Jannette Leary

Mrs. Jannette Leary is a life-long resident of the City of Marshallville. She is married to Freddie Leary and they have two adult children, Frederick Leary and Kirsten Ellerbee. She also has two granddaughters, FaNiya and Marqeciaplus one grandson, Jalen.

Jannette attended Atlanta College of Medical and Dental Assistant. She also attended Dudley Hughes Vocational School and received her License Practical Nursing Degree. She worked at Peach County Hospital for ten years and later work for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp where she retired after nineteen years of service.

Jannette is an active member of Saint James C.M.E. Church of Marshallville. She presently serves as president of the Marshallville Women’s League, where her primary mission is to improve the downtown area. She also organized the Purple Hearts Girls Club with members ranging from ages 6-14. We introduce these girls to a variety of experiences outside of their everyday surroundings.

Her primary objectives for the City of Marshallville is to work with the community leaders and; local officials. To bring developmental changes to the community and to ensure that all voices are heard and that the needs of all citizens are met.
